This stone cross (cruceiro) is situated in the urban area of Lalín, exactly in Rúa do Cruceiro, it is the welcome for pilgrims who arrive to the village through the Winter Way.
This cruceiro has all of the elements of galician cruceiros. Platform with three steps. A cubic pedestal, where there is an inscription, nowadays illegible, which dates it in 1675, consequently this stone cross becomes the oldest cruceiro of the municipality. On the superior area it has sculpted skulls and the Passion tools. There is a pousadoiro (a stone table). An octagonal and smooth shaft. The capital has volutes and faces in the middle. The cross is octagonal, with a statue of Jesus Christ in the obverse and Virgin Mary praying, which is held by a face, in the reverse.
