Rosquillas de Aurita

These desserts are famous in the town to be served after the well-known Cocido de Lalín. They are made by Aurita, one of the founders of the restaurant Cabanas. She started making them on his own to serve after the stew of his restaurant and they liked so much among diners that she ended up selling them loose. Collaborated with a Lalin artist to develop the labels for this sale. The donuts are for sale in Cabanas, but were also in the shopping center El Corte Inglés and other dessert shops of Pontevedra, Vigo, Madrid and Ourense.

They are handmade and the process takes three days. It uses natural ingredients such as sugar, flour, eggs, butter, anise and orange juice. Once done, they have to cool before bathing them in sugar. This process of drying the donuts can take two or three days so that there are no problems when they are packed. They last up to two months.
