Ultramodern building built by Luís M. Mansilla and Emilio Tuñón, winners, in the year 2007, of the prize of contemporary architecture “Mies van der Rohe”, awarded by The European Union.
It was inaugurated on September 20, 2013. In the same year, the building got to be in Biennial show XII of Architecture and Urbanism of Spain, in the section dedicated to civic symbols.
The construction tries to reminds us, with its circular forms, both in the exterior and in the interior, pre-Roman constructions, very abundant in the territory of municipality where there are catalogued more of 30.
It has in its dependences different departments of the town hall of Lalín, local police, state police and the offices of O.R.A.L. or “Castrodeza”, interpretation center of hill-forts.
