On a little stand, we find the figure of brilliant artist  José Otero Abeledo, known as “Laxeiro”. Portrayed with realism, standing, with head lightly elevated, shaved and arranged with his particular clothing: hat, glasses, coat and muffler.
Author shows painter with his skilled hands inside overcoat. This work of solid forms shows a very traditional technique, demonstrating the work of this stone-cutter trained and educated in Deza region. This sculpture is one of the numerous homages done by Lalín people to Laxeiro.
