Lalín is land of artists and Art lovers. It is obvious in its streets. A good way of crossing Lalin village is discovering its sculptures. Some of them have turned into symbols of the municipality, as the dedicated one to Loriga, the aviator, or the statue of the pork.
Some of them monumental, different and discreet another ones...figuratives or abstracts, all of them have a history behind...make up your mind and come to discover it!
This sculpture was realized by the artist by request of Employer´s Association of Deza by the purpose of paying tribute to “Xosé Cuiña Crespo”, on the occasion of the first anniversary of his death.
The work represents the politician standing, life-size, in attitude of conversation. The sculpture is a synthesis of the personage and it is possible to appreciate volume and imaginary spaces where sculptor played with concavities and convexities as link of union with the spectator.
