In one side of his natal town´s church, in the center of a circular double pond, on a sober pedestal where some astronomic symbols appears, the figure of the astronomer Ramon Maria Aller Ulloa is built. The perfect stonework hihglights armillary sphere cavities and with its iron curves it shows suggestive effects of shades. The symmetrical cannon figure, simple and proportionated, joins hands calmly on the astrolabe and charts, attributes of Astronomy. Mr. Ramon appears characterized with his priestly habits showing on his heart the cross of Santiago with diferent textures. Symbolizing happiness and modesty, Asorey carved a serene face with kind smile. In the work stand out some symbols of the discipline that Maria Aller Ulloa cultivated and the words “Science” and "Virtue" that summarize his life. This sculpture, between heaven and earth, as its protagonist, has Ramon Aller's modest spirit and underlines his peace and serenity. Statue and pedestal harmonize adequately with simplicity. The beautiful polychrome obtained with the alternation of granite increases the interest of this exquisite work.
