Lalín is land of artists and Art lovers. It is obvious in its streets. A good way of crossing Lalin village is discovering its sculptures. Some of them have turned into symbols of the municipality, as the dedicated one to Loriga, the aviator, or the statue of the pork.

Some of them monumental, different and discreet another ones...figuratives or abstracts, all of them have a history behind...make up your mind and come to discover it!

This statue of granite represents Balbino, protagonist of "Memorias dun Neno Labrego ", novel written by Xosé Neira Villas. Balbino has his diary and a slingshot, and he is accompanied of his dog Pachín.

Balbino is a village kid, in whom many generations of Galician children are reflected. He helps us to understand, with his adventures and misfortunes, how life was in Galician rural areas in the middle of the 20th century. This sculpture shows the appreciation for this author born in Deza region.
