Lalín is land of artists and Art lovers. It is obvious in its streets. A good way of crossing Lalin village is discovering its sculptures. Some of them have turned into symbols of the municipality, as the dedicated one to Loriga, the aviator, or the statue of the pork.
Some of them monumental, different and discreet another ones...figuratives or abstracts, all of them have a history behind...make up your mind and come to discover it!
The work has two parts with different material, form, definition and ended.
On one hand, the structure of the base: five pieces done with stone, strong texture, parallelepiped shape, distributed irregularly as a kind of stairs that comes above of a monolith.
On the other hand, overlapping – accumulation of elements, now human; proletarian family that raises to the sky but without separating of a few toothed pieces that simulate industrial wheels. It is just an allusion to the elevation of family by working.
Marked contrast between straight lines of the base and curled sculpture cut by hollows with the intention of lightening figures that are together to infinity.
